All you need to know about the best Pho soup

This Best Pho Victoria has tender chunks of pork, chewy noodles, and a healthy beef broth filled with some unique spices.

What is Pho?

Mastering the art of making pho, the traditional Vietnamese soup, is a worthwhile endeavor. One of the most important parts of a tasty pho recipe is its broth, which should be rich in fragrant vegetables and complex spices. Different regions of Vietnam serve slightly varied versions of the Best Pho Victoria; some use a sweeter broth, others use other herbs, and yet others use broader noodles.

There are two distinct ways to prepare pho broth. If you're trying to replicate the Victoria Best Pho from one of your favorite Vietnamese restaurants, the first, more authentic version is more time-consuming, but well worth it. Methodologically, there is little difference between this and producing your own bone broth, and nutritionally, there is a tonne of value here. If you don't need that much broth right away, you can always halve the amount or store the extra in the freezer.

The second variation, which is less authentic for the Victoria Best Pho is a quick and easy broth that can be made in 20 minutes and is based on my bok choy soup recipe. This option is ideal for those times when you need to satisfy a craving quickly but don't have time to prepare anything more substantial. If you've never had Vietnamese soup before, it's worth starting with a quick version.
